New recreational boating facilities at Bullock Point will reinforce Rainbow Beach's status as a prime destination for aquatic recreation.
The project will construct a purpose-built, bitumen-sealed car and boat trailer parking area for a minimum of 15 car trailer units. This will address environmental, safety and amenity concerns with the current poor condition of the area. The existing car park is dilapidated from heavy use, with potholes in wet weather and dust in dry times, and erosion causes sediment run-off into the bay.
The new facilities will encourage visitors to use the area with flow-on economic benefits for the local community.
