Made in Queensland is a Queensland Government initiative supporting our manufacturing sector to become more internationally competitive and adopt innovative processes and technologies.

The $20 million grants program is aimed at increasing jobs in Queensland manufacturing businesses and growing the state's economy.

Owners of small to medium Queensland manufacturers are invited to register their interest in the Made in Queensland program. Eligible registrants will receive support from the department to undertake a benchmarking program which will address areas where their businesses can become more competitive and create high-value jobs for Queenslanders.

Please note: As you may be aware, the Queensland Government assumes a ‘caretaker’ mode until after a general election of the Legislative Assembly of Queensland is held on 25 November 2017.

By convention, the State Government assumes this caretaker role to ensure that decisions are not taken which may bind an incoming government and limit its freedom of action.

Along with other State Government programs, the Made in Queensland program is affected by caretaker conventions. Those who have already registered for a benchmark or have applied for a grant will be contacted directly by the Department.

Registrations and applications will be accepted, however you should note that no decisions about your registration or application can be made until after the caretaker period has ended and following due consideration by the incoming government.
