Location/s	Surat Basin, 3 km south-east of Taroom and 310 km south-west of Rockhampton.
Local government/s	Banana Shire Council (mine) Western Downs Regional Council (part of electricity transmission line)
Key features	open-cut coal mine coal handling and processing infrastructure rail infrastructure, including a 31-kilometre rail spur connecting to the proposed Surat Basin Rail line 52-kilometre high-voltage transmission line connecting to the proposed Wandoan substation water supply pipeline to the Glebe Weir or Dawson River diversion of nine kilometres of the Leichhardt Highway

28 April 2012 to 28 May 2012	Draft terms of reference for EIS public consultation.
22 March 2012	Commonwealth Minister for the Environment decided the project is a controlled action.
