Supporting Indigenous businesses

Our department operates 11 regional offices across Queensland supporting businesses to mature, grow and invest, including Indigenous businesses.

Support includes providing information via one-on-one interactions, presentations and workshops (both online and face-to-face).

There are a number of online databases that can be used to find an Aboriginal or Torres Strait Islander business providing a product, service or experience. Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander businesses can also add their business to these databases as a potential to benefit from Queensland’s major projects

  • Commissioned by the Queensland Government, ICN QLD manages the Black Business Finder. The database now lists over 750 Indigenous businesses.
  • Supply Nation is an online database of verified First Nations businesses which can be searched by business, name, product, service, location or category,
  • The Queensland Indigenous Business Network (QIBN) is the newly established state-wide representative body for Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander businesses in Queensland

The Queensland Government also has a range of targeted support options available for Indigenous businesses.
