Far North Queensland Infrastructure Plan

Far North Queensland is a great place to live, work and visit with approximately 290,000 people calling the region home. The region stretches from Cairns to Cape York and the Torres Strait, covering approximately 270,000 square kilometres.

The Queensland Government has released the Far North Queensland Infrastructure Plan to support the region as it grows and adapts to new economic opportunities. It takes a place-based approach to ensure regionally significant infrastructure needs are considered and prioritised.
