  • Location Lockyer Valley
    Description Investing in initiatives to enhance water supply security for southeast Queensland, including the Lockyer and Somerset regions
    Milestones
    • Q3 2023 – Commencement of planning and scoping for longer term water security
    • Q2 2024 – Agreement of investment decision and forward program
    • Q2 2025 – Completion of project works

    Longer-term water security planning led by the Queensland Government in collaboration with the Australian Government.

    Planning to secure water supply for Lockyer Valley and Somerset regions led by the Lockyer Valley Regional Council and Somerset Regional Council in collaboration with the Australian and Queensland Governments.

  • Location Scenic Rim
    Description Developing a Business Case to determine what infrastructure planning, sequencing, prioritisation and capital investment is required to activate the 15,610ha State Development Area.
    Milestones
    • Q2 2023 – Commencement of technical studies in relation to land development constraints and opportunities and infrastructure requirements
    • Q3 2023 – Commencement of business case in consultation with stakeholders, including land and infrastructure development options, infrastructure sequencing and catalytic development strategies
    • Q4 2026 – Completion of business case, including development sequencing plan, infrastructure strategy and funding requirements
    Responsibility

    Led by the Queensland Government, in partnership with Scenic Rim Regional Council and the Australian Government.

    Investment $5 million
  • Location Moreton Bay
    Description The compact will realise a more coordinated approach to enabling infrastructure to support the delivery of affordable housing options in Caboolture West
    Milestones
    • Q2 2022 – Commencement of infrastructure planning and prioritisation
    • Q2 2023 – Consideration of projects scope and governance
    • Q4 2023 – Selection of infrastructure projects and commencement of detailed planning
    • Q2 2024 - Commencement of construction
    • 2027 – Completion of infrastructure delivery

    Responsibility

    Led by the Queensland Government, in partnership with Moreton Bay Regional Council, in collaboration with the Australian Government.

    Investment $210 million (including $100 million loan).
  • Location Toowoomba
    Description Exploring options for catalysing the regeneration of the Toowoomba Railway Parklands Priority Development Area (PDA)
    Milestones
    • Q3 2023 – Confirmation of project scope and governance and  commencement of preliminary investigation studies, and business case development for investment in the Parklands PDA
    • Q4 2023 – Commencement of stakeholder engagement and procurement activities for investment in the Parklands PDA
    • Q4 2024 – Completion of business case
    • Q4 2027 – Completion of City Deal investment in PDA

    Responsibility

    Parklands investment and business case led by Toowoomba Regional Council. Support for precinct activation and housing investment led by the Queensland Government in partnership with the Australian Government, and in collaboration with Toowoomba Regional Council.

  • Location Region-wide
    Description Incorporating a consideration of regional freight movements, key priority freight corridors (including but not limited to the Mount Lindesay Highway), priorities for future infrastructure investment to enhance supply chain logistics in the region and an approach for upgrading level crossings.
    Milestones
    • Q3 2023 - Commencement of the Future Region Shaping Infrastructure intergovernmental working group and consideration of scope and governance
    • Q4 2023 - Submissions of project plan for future work stream milestones and responsibilities agreed by Australian and Queensland Governments and CoMSEQ
    • Q2 2025 - Delivery of report for consideration by partners

  • Location Toowoomba
    Description The Wellcamp Entertainment Precinct will incorporate motorsport, driver-training and a 40,000 person performing arts venue

    • Q2 2026 - Completion of funded deliverables
