Projects in the delivery phase are infrastructure commitments and activity over the next four years. Planned projects include investment proposals that are at a planning stage. These are currently being assessed by Queensland Government. All proposals in planning stage are subject to government consideration and final investment decisions.

Transport
Rockhampton Ring Road
The Rockhampton Ring Road will deliver a western link of the Bruce Highway extending from the Capricorn Highway (at Nelson Street) in the south, through to Rockhampton-Yeppoon Road/Bruce Highway intersection in the north and will include a new crossing of the Fitzroy River.
This project will help more people get to where they need to be by improving road safety and reducing travel time while increasing freight efficiency and flood resilience.
Water
Fitzroy to Gladstone Pipeline
The 117-kilometre Fitzroy to Gladstone pipeline will improve water security for Gladstone’s communities and industries, and provide future growth and development opportunities for the region’s emerging clean energy industry, including hydrogen. The pipeline project includes a water treatment plant, reservoirs and pumping stations.
Education
Gladstone State High School
TThe Gladstone State High School upgrades will establish a new Design and Technology Precinct, to provide students with modern, cutting-edge resources. The project will include specialised workshops and robotics studios, equipping students with skills in emerging technologies, essential for Queensland’s future job market.
Health
Rockhampton Hospital Cardiac Hybrid Theatre
The new Cardiac Hybrid Theatre at Rockhampton Hospital will offer a wide range of services, ensuring that patients benefit from cutting-edge treatments without needing to travel far from home. With expanded capabilities, including a new procedure room, recovery bays and an increased number of inpatient beds, the hospital will be better- equipped to handle complex cardiac cases. The project will also contribute to the local healthcare workforce by supporting the recruitment and retention of skilled cardiology professionals.
Government services
Mount Morgan Pipeline
The Mount Morgan Water Supply project, supported by the Australian Government through the National Water Grid Fund, will end the need for water carting and provide a reliable water supply for Queenslanders. This vital infrastructure will support economic growth in the region by creating approximately 50 jobs during construction and fostering local business opportunities.
