The $365 million Building our Regions program supports local government infrastructure projects in regional communities that create flow-on economic development opportunities and jobs.
The program has a strengthened focus on delivering more enduring economic outcomes for regional communities, targeting funding toward job-creating infrastructure that will improve economic conditions and liveability.
Round 5 of Building our Regions has approved funding towards 48 construction and planning projects to be delivered in partnership with 39 councils across the state, generating an estimated 347 jobs.
Rounds 1–5 of Building our Regions has allocated funding towards 264 construction projects and seven planning projects across 67 local government areas in regional Queensland, supporting an estimated 2767 jobs and attracting additional investment of over $538 million from councils and other organisations.
