Infrastructure Industry Steering Committee

Queensland’s premier infrastructure industry advisory forum is the Infrastructure Industry Steering Committee (IISC). This committee comprises infrastructure industry peak bodies and key government stakeholders. The objective of the committee is to operate as a trusted, strategic, industry advisory forum to the Queensland Government, collaborating on and codesigning infrastructure industry reform initiatives and monitoring initiatives’ impacts and benefits.

The Infrastructure Industry Steering Committee functions as a strategic information exchange to identify emerging issues and trends with industry-wide relevance where IISC members are encouraged to represent the views of their member organisations. It does not consider individual projects or proposals but rather complements the work of other industry engagement forums/mechanisms.

Industry members include:

  • Australian Constructors Association
  • Australian Industry Group
  • Civil Contractors Federation
  • Construction Skills Queensland
  • Consult Australia
  • Green Building Council of Australia
  • Infrastructure Association of Queensland
  • Infrastructure Australia
  • Infrastructure Sustainability Council
  • Master Builders Queensland
  • Queensland Major Contractors Association
  • The Property Council of Australia
  • Urban Development Institute of Australia

The Infrastructure Industry Steering Committee was initially formed in 2016. It continues to evolve, adapt and respond to emerging and contemporary infrastructure industry issues.
